Jessica McMillan is a Contemporary Artist living and working in West Yorkshire. McMillan studied at Falmouth School of Art for four years completing a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design and a Bachelors of Art in Drawing. After completing her studies in Falmouth she went onto complete a Master of Arts specialising in Contemporary Embroidery.
McMillan's work focuses on the theme of 'noticing the unnoticed', this could be cultural, social or observational. Her work flows across many mediums and disciplines from Painting and Drawing to Embroidery and Design.
'I believe its an Artists job to notice things; to take them in, reinterpret aspects of life and then re-present them with a new perspective thrust upon the subject which sheds new light on a once mundane or overlooked topic.
My work encompasses many different forms, taking on a variety of different media.'
